ROOM BY THE SEA (1) 1992 (6" x 11") The first of a series of which to
date there are five. By the converging lines of floor and ceiling
the eye is drawn towards the three female figures entranced in
their own space. Separate but together they appear to be in communion
with a fourth: the moon, in whose radiance they seem to bask.
'Beside the Sea', an earlier painting, may be the forerunner
of this series. |
