GARDEN FESTIVAL

Glasgow's turn to host a garden festival was a
great success despite indifferent weather. The large acreage it
covered on the South Bank of the Clyde near Govan is now a Science
Park. At the time it was divided up into many different themed
areas.
The artist chose this non-themed common area as
it was open enough to introduce many people at once as well as
key elements of the site like trams and the famous crane which
is a landmark on the opposite river bank.
There are four other works on this subject : The
Mirrored Garden, The Wonderful Metal Man, Drum and The Bicycle.
